Spent the day at Trinidad, taking people on sea kayak tours. The place was loaded with boaters and whales. No salmon was to be had, but every boater seemed to be limited out on Rockfish. As I rounded a set of rocks that I frequently in my X- factor, these guys were pulling in a nice Ling. The one they had hooked up was smaller than the one in the boat. I told him it would be more fun from a kayak,  they laughed and said maybe I'm right. I was totally jealous nonetheless. I got  back to the beach and it was littered with rockfish carcasses.  The seagulls were in heaven, but I thought what a waste of crab bait.

Thanks for the report, Hawk.  I'll be ready to roll when the salmon bite turns on.   :smt001
