Berryessa west side

  Saw a post on Coastside about Berryessa being on a hot bite.  I fished from 1700 hrs till dark 2030hrs,

Somewhere around 30 plus fish mostly on top water/ and drop shot, The fish, 3" to 13" , lots of action/fun with LMB, Spots and wicked smallmouth...

  Lost 2 really nice Smallmouth @ the Yak, Both were close to 3 to 4 lbs ,

GREAT FIGHT , that was kool

Most action with this broken back rebel.

  Found Capell launch, It's free and open till 2200hrs ( 10pm ), every one else want $20 bucks to park your car, but the launch is free ...

There is also Oak Shores/smitty park or something like that, I think $4 day use fee, and looks shallow,

Don't even think of going here on a weekend

Sounds awesome!  sounds like lakes started warmed up!  yeah, capell cove is free but did you find alil picnic area right before the capell cove boat ramp?  it's better access if you have Kayak & no gate.

Yeah, & the Oak shore is very nice protected area that have alot of no-wake zone.  and also Smittle Creek parking lot is free & no gate.

Yeah pretty shallow around there, but it drops off till around 50 ft outside of the coves.  more smallies there too.
