Hi guys I just got back from a trip to the eastern sierras to see my grandparents who camp at Crowley lake every spring for about three weeks.

After work Monday my dad and i drove to bishop were we spent the night.  In the morning we drove to the lake and met my grandparents.  We got on the water around ten and fished until around one we decided to have lunch. My dad farmed one at the boat and caught a 13" rainbow I was skunked As soon as we reached the shore the wind started to blow and we couldn't launch again that day on shore we met my grandpa who had been fishing all morning without a bite.

The next morning we launched and trolled for about an hour then the wind came up and we fought it hard back toward our camp when we reached the cove the wind died so we resumed fishing.

I just landed a thirteen inch rainbow when the rescue boat came by and warned us that there were going to be "50-60 mph winds within the next hour."  On the way in my dad said he saw a big fish slurping bugs off the surface.  As soon as his lure got to it his rod went bendo. He landed the 18" brown then landed his kayak as he was beaching his kayak my grandpa reeled in a rainbow from the bank.

We said goodbuy to my grandparents and headed home on the way we spotted some elk so we stopped to take pictures.
