Where is a good place to get some crab traps and gear in the bay area? What kind of trap works the best on the kayak?

Sport Chalet, Fisherman's Warehouse, Hi's Tacklebox, HMB. I would start out with Promar 102's.

FW had the collapsible Danielsons for $20 each. Call them to make sure they're still on sale, if you're interested.  I like having 1-2 Promar 102w's and one Danielson on board
