I noticed how the ride smoothed out once the spinnaker was unfurled....looks worth it to me!

nowwereman did you get the bugs worked out yet ?
i was reading and watching videos some claim you can use it up wind saw a vid were a guy was sailing jib only up wind
are you happy with it ?or do you think its worth it?

Have not had a good chance to test it out under challenging conditions yet. Will report back---hopefully, soon...

This was in SC on Saturday. The wind was dead all morning except for about 20 minutes when there was a light breeze out of the east. There was not even enough wind to get a reasonable drift going, yet the spinnaker was giving me 2.5+ mph, which I thought was pretty good under those conditions.

You can see the setup in this video. That torque rope is pretty amazing stuff, as it turns just like a rigid mast, yet it can be easily coiled into an 18" diameter. Of course, still need to test it under challenging conditions...

I don't like stuff that sucks.
