So yesterday I went to HMB, mainly because the weather looked fine ... I was surprised to see so many boats in the ocean and the whole Salmon madness ...

Question: where did this people got their intell about the presence of Salmon so precisely?

Do you share reports and tips with other like minded people?

The more you share the more you will get back. It works for me.

I get the majority of my salmon info from...

-Coastside Fishing Club. These guys know a lot about the salmon fishing near HMB. Why? Because they're the ones who raise and release the salmon that eventually get caught off HMB.

-USAfishing.com. Good resource for Bay Area fishing reports.

-Facebook. All the Bay Area party boats have Facebook pages and they post reports and pictures. Sometimes you have to look for hints in their pictures to see where they're fishing, and sometimes they share the info.

- Call the Daily Salmon Updates for the Sausalito and Berkeley charter boats. They give daily updates and usually share he general area they were fishing.

Other than that, it just comes from experience and knowing where and when the fish tend to show up year after year.
