Here's the stock center console:

Wiring from the transduer goes into the center console, where the 40 extra feet of wiring goes!  Power comes into the center console below the lid (which is watertight-ish).  The power and transducer cables come up behind the mount with enough slack to move the head unit around.

Test placement of the unit.  I ended up moving this rearward to just in front of the cup holder.  This is out of the way yet within easy reach.  The RAM mount pictured is about $25 and well worth the cost.  It clips into the Hook4/4x/Elite4 Lowrance units in the back just like the factory bracket and adds some mobility.

Here's the battery box all soldered up.  Here's what I used:
Box:  Pelican 1050 Micro Case
Cable Gland:  Amazon assorted pack: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ICZAJL4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bike Headlight Cable (for external connection):  https://www.amazon.com/Magicshine-MJ-6068-Y-Cable-MJ-880R-MJ-880RT/dp/B01NAEG8JA/
USB charger/Volt Meter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0GR0FQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Battery:  Zippy 30C 5000mah 4S (box can fit up to about 6600mah).  3S-4S 11.1-14.4 volt will work with the Lowrance units, but check your documentation.  The Hook 4 supports 10v-18v.  https://hobbyking.com/en_us/multistar-high-capacity-4s-5200mah-multi-rotor-lipo-pack.html

The Sea Ghost has a nice feature for people wanting to use fish finders: a built-in transducer port.  Protected from whatever you might run into and large enough to fit a variety of transducers.  It's a piece of cake to install the Lowrance transducers, but I've heard reports that some others require some creativity.  A lot of guys just zip tie the transducer to the protective cover.  This picture shows a solid cover, but they now come drilled out for better resolution of the more sensitive transducers.  For Lowrance, just screw in the transom mount bracket and you're done!

I used the Hobie hull wiring port kit for a nice watertight and clean install.  It comes with 2 1" diameter plugs and an assortment of rubber grommets for different sized wires.  You can see my "Hidden Hinge" kit addition here which allows the center console lid to be more easily opened.  This is made by a guy on the Facebook Vibe Kayaks owners group.  Vibe really needs to make this a standard feature in the future.

Here's the box mounted inside the hull, using a couple of strips of velcro.  This whole box is smaller and lighter than a typical sealed battery that most people use.

Field testing on the river went perfectly!

Has anyone else used a lipo for their fish finder?  And if so, did you use a voltage cutoff?  It can be potentially dangerous to over-discharge a lithium battery.  Even though I have a volt meter, it would be nice to have a fail safe to prevent this from happening.
