Salmon near Benicia?

Broadway Bait and Tackle said there were some salmon in American river.  Made me think they must be running past Benicia - but not sure if these are just a few early fish or if it's time to start trolling over there.  Anyone heard anything?

I think it's still a little early, but you might as well prove me wrong!

I read a report from a guy who said the fish in the river right now are likely the last stragglers of the spring run. The main push of fall run fish hasn't arrived yet.

I heard of one 10 lb salmon caught opening day at 1st street, nothing caught since then.  Had a big one roll right in front of me at Dillon point , still way to early.  I'd rather be on the coast chasing Rockies if this damn wind would let up

Intel from a shore friend.  10lb and 19lb off 1st st.  10lb off 9th st. pier caught by kid on.....wait for it.......wait for it.......calamari on a striper setup.  23" halibut off 1st st pier on a salmon lure.
