Montery salmon tuesday 4-17

Any one want to give it a try tuesday the reports look good so far as does the wether. My thoughts are launch at moss but would consider other posabilities.

I'm thinking about going down that way tuesday or anytime after depending on how things look

I'd probably launch outside though, somewhere on the flat side of the peninsula to get right into the fray

could be a mistake by then but it's nice territory anyway

I recommend Coral St.  You can get out to the point in about 30 minutes and the launch is much more protected than on the "flat" side of the peninsula.  I had to work away from the office Friday and am at home to day to have the car serviced and to meet a repair man so it will be very hard for me to pull off Tuesday.  Let me know, just in case as I am still all set to go from my aborted launch yesterday.  I need to get out there as soon as conditions allow.  Being available to fish weekends only sucks.

I'm taking tomorrow morning off.  Is anyone planning on launching from Coral St?  I would definately like company.

Kevin there's a slim chance I'll be down there but I do mean slim   I was thinking about launching someplace outside or as close to pinos as possible

Everybody seems to think Coral st is the best option    I'm not even sure where that is, I'll look it up on the site

Not much chance of early start for me is the only bummer   If it's more like 10 I might just go over the hill and try LM or HMB

I'm just waiting for new intel and better weather - besides, I just took a few days off last week....and as always, the weather was too shitty to paddle out in da big blue Had to fish small waters instead.

Tuesday's out for me

Looks like the wind forecast is dicey anyway

yeah that new forcast looks bad.  I am going to abort as well.  Wed looks ok but I think I am going to give it a try with my brother in his boat.  will be on ch69 anyway.

Screw the wind, get out there guys. I wanna see some salmon reports. Set out a drouge and raft up in three's, drift with the wind and paddle back at an angle.

You ever been out in the bigtime wind?

My pop loved wind for some reason. my uncle sails solo in prime gale conditions at the age of 83 or so up out of humboldt bay

The only time I like bigtime wind is on the ocean and only if there's bigass swell to hide behind  Out behind dux a couple of years back one of the bolinas boys pulled up and the wind was so loud we had to blow vocal cords to communicate

To me ocean with nothing but wind waves is like being stuck in a parking garage


I cant explain any of that except our ancestors were french rope makers and captains of ships in the great lakes and as far as I'm concerned the french are all crazy    better than being german anyway

Hawk,  we are working on it.  Things are just not lining up yet.  Soon though.

Blue, you crack me up and I am crazy as a Frenchman.

I am crazy enough to go out there in that wind on my sailboat but the yak is too much work in that sloppy mess.  Diagonal in those conditions won't even help much and it would be a full power drift even with the drogue.  I hope it lays down some this weekend.
