Was out at Rollins this past Saturday evening. Trout were down 60 - 80 feet in 100'+ FOW. Bass bite was good on crawdad colored crank bait.

So, the free launch point is now cleared of the slide and stump that was blocking entry. I'll post up when i head up there. Toplining trout also works. Were you hooking those DEEP trout or??? Those deep ones can be browns or BIG CRAPPIE :smt005

At the Rollins Lake event I got three trout around 10", its was all topwater, but the bite shut off around 11 for me. I beleive they were the trout that were planted a few days before the event.

Tried some gold, chrome and blue kastmasters toplining and nothing. Gave up on trout and hit the bass.

Lots of 10" trout! You know what happens when you fill a lake with 10" trout that has lots of spotted bass... you get the Bullards Bar effect!

They're in there, I've seen a couple in the 7lb class. With all the approved trout plants, next years RLRoundup should be fun.

Ron that Scout group camp sounds great, unfortunately we're in a Santa Rosa tonight. Have fun!!!

Report for Sat morning....3 boys 4-6-8yrs, 1/2 hr fishing 3 for three. Yup they all got a fish!!! 10-11" spotted bass for each and every of them. "Grandpa we're hungry" ended our fishing trip but it was a success! I continued fishing for 2hrs for several bass. boats sure are limiting! couldn't get to some of my fav areas. Now back to work on monday thinking about Stripers, Shad, and anything but work :smt005 :smt044
