H/U Mendo coast wed 3/31

Going to be at Russian Gulch State Park tomorrow am.

I plan on arriving around 7am.

NOAA says W WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WAVES W 3 FT AT 12 SECONDS

The weather cahannel has low winds in the am, maxing at 9mph in the afternoon

Swellinfo.com says even less waves and wind.

Oh man, I wish I could have gone - I hope it is as good as it sounds!

The weather was amazing and the ocean was flat. I had to strip off layers of clothes like crazy and ended up with a sunburn.

Oh and the fish were biting like crazy. The biggest ling went 31" a 24" cabezon, and a 19" verm. Lots and lots of other lings, rockies, and cabezon too. I didn't find a greenling for AOTY, but I'll find one another time.

Not very many pictures were taken since I was out by myself.

new i should have gotten my lazy ass out of bed when the wife went to work and headed to mendo, but slept in and hit yorty, glad you got a FAC day on the coast with some good action, cameron

I've never fish mendo before but from watching videos on Youtube and scouting around with google map, i'm not sure why i don't see more report on Russian Gulch State Park considering the ease of launching and parking.
