Bill gave the preview, here's the details.

Mooch and I headed out from the windsurfer launch around 6:30.  Slight breeze that ended up completely dying off.  Was super calm out there.

Started at the slurp hole, dipped my sabiki, but no takers.  Mooch and I then just drifted / trolled with anchovies.  We saw another yakker in the distance, with no radio.  Eagle-eye Mooch noticed the other guy was hooked up, and after a nice fight, landed a beauty, over 20#.

The other guy is Paul, who fishes out of Bean Hollow a lot...

Paul landed his on some live bait he picked up at the Marina -- the last bait they had.  Dunno if they're getting more, but it sure seemed to be the ticket.  He graciously gave some bait to Mooch and I -- thanks Pau!! -- and Mooch hooked up...

Breaking in his nice new Promar...

And landing this...

A short hallie -- released.

Me -- nada, but it was a nice day out there, though a bit crowded.  Over 30 boats in the area -- watch out tomorrow!!  The fish are in the area, but do what you can to try and find some live bait...

Nice report.  Good fishin', Paul and Joel!  I love it when the bay flattens out like that.

Nice pictures Dave!  It looks like it was a beautiful day on the Bay.  That is a very nice halibut, Paul and I especially like your kayak!  Well done!

Ohhhh....Yeah!!!!!... WTG... Paul  :smt023

I'm wondering if Paul took his favorite kayak taxi to Oyster Point.  He knows a taxi service that will transport him and his kayak to and from his fishing spots for no extra charge.  Is that cool or what!

Yep.  I had asked Paul whether he would need to pay extra for slime removal, but he says he just leaves the halibut in the yak's front hatch.  Great service to keep in mind when doing a looooong troll!!

Not having live bait sucked but but I'm glad Paul was there to share = Big thanks to Paul  :worship

Anyway, I ran out of live bait and figured that I could "convince" Dave to give up his last minnow  :smt003

You guys rock. Mooch youare a true fisherman. I wish I could fish 1/4 of the time you do. Matter of fact 1/10 would be great right now.  Although as soon as the weather clears up I will play a little catch up this week!

Frank..... said it was an Osprey with twin outbroads.  You can see the last boat motor or motors.  But, the first two are not the boat.
