I showed up mid-day and ran into Spider and Freddie,(good to meet you Freddie). This was at the shallow State Park where fish are are now mostly thinking of spawning. The torrid bite has tapered off. We, Terry, Adam and I, caught fish though. Lots of smallish males in 1 to 2 feet of water under trees, hungry as heck. Right at sunset I took off for a spot I thought would be good for frogs... and it was! I got 3 and lost the 3rd which was the largest. Of course.
Today day we hit the deeper south end thinking the cooler water has kept fish hitting well. Yup, it was a good day! We slammed them. I'm glad to have spent it with Terry and Adam, plus they took pics.
My best for the day was a 5.6, which i caught right next to the bar/grill where we cooled off with grub and beer. Can you say heaven?
My thumbs are thrashed and I need to buy more Senkos.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

" my thumbs are thrashed and I need to buy more senkos" should have been the title of this post.
I may lose the right one and ill be using the net on everything for a long while.
Had a GREAT time fishing with everybody around the state park this week.
Its tough to fish a area that is taking a full on bassboat assault right now and it was starting to hurt my C-lake pride that we really werent catching alot of fish up there.
Had to go back to my backyard/comfort zone and ZONE is the operative word.
There were no gatherers among us, only hunters, but it was Juan who took the day.
Id had bigger days in those haunts but I had never had so much fun. thanks guys.

Sore thumbs and beat up lures. Tough life guys! Just think how bad the crying would have been on a hot bite. Way to go on making us drool.
