Well... I woke up and drove to Clear Lake to see if I can pull out a hawg. Let's just say that the bite is definitely not exactly on like it was last week. I got to State Park around 6:45 and quickly unloaded and hit the water. I was the only yak on the water in the morning but I was not alone. There were literally 20 bass boats fishing the area. Those guys were pretty much everywhere. I didn't see anybody landing anything so, I just picked out an open area and started to do my thing. Apparently, I'm not to good at doing my thing because I couldn't hook into anything. This was my first time fishing Clear Lake. After not getting a bite on a Senko. I switched over to jigs... nothing. Spinners... nothing. Cranks... nothing. Swimbaits... nothing. I finally watched two guys get a double on a boat which was a good sign. They were using minnows... so, I tossed out a minnow too. I knocked the skunk off the yak at around 9:00. After that... I nailed another on a minnow and one on a Senko. Terry and Adam made their appearance later in the morning. I fished with the "Master of the Lake" thinking he could put us on the fish. We ventured up into Kelsey Creek and picked up a few more bass. Adam found a little honey hole and pulled 3 out. Terry and myself headed up the creek picking a few off as we went up. Got out of there and headed passed the marina... I got another small one and Terry hooked up a couple more times. It was time for me to leave at that point.

Adam- Where did you take off to??? You were behind us and then, you vanished. I hope you slayed them where ever you went.

All in all... a good day on the lake. Smallest fish was a fiesty 10 incher... largest was 17 1/2". I did see some really big fish. One sitting on a nest even had a 5" stick bait stuck in her... She wouldn't bite on anything though... too bad... I would've loved to be able to get those trebles out of her face.

Tight lines,

Freddie

You rock. You were already on the water around 6, given the distance.  :smt011 Definitely a hardcore fisherman. Take it as compliment.

Freddie,
had a great time fishing the creek with you. Next time you come up we wont go to the place that has gotten all the media hype and isnt pounded bass boats. After you left we continued east and got deep into a wooded point and got into alot of fish. Adam has a picture of a female I nabbed right off of a tree that had some size to her. We all fished till dark ,except Adam who fished into the night. Here are a few pictures that I took. Im glad you got to see the beasts that dwell in C-lake, next time we will get one.

Too bad we didn't get the BIATCH we were huntin for. That's what keeps me going and stopping. That DREAM GIRL could be at that next over-hang or tullie patch.

I was surprized to see you there,I thought I'd be fishin solo.

Keep up the maddness!
