Hello California Collaborative Fisheries Research Program (CCFRP) participants!

We wanted to remind you all that our Volunteer Angler Appreciation Workshop is less than two weeks away! If you have not already, please also mark your calendars for this event at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories on Saturday, March 18th from 12-3pm (Cal Poly's date is still being finalized). Lunch will be provided, and we will host raffles as we share with you our most recent data. 2016 was our busiest and most successful year yet and we will reflect on these amazing milestones and accomplishments by sharing trends over the past 10 years of data collection.  We hope to have good news to share about the future of CCFRP in California for those in attendance!

We plan to eat lunch between 12-1pm, then move into a review of the data between 1-3pm. This will be a relaxed, informal presentation, and questions are welcome.

If you are able to attend, please feel free to let us know via email with your RSVP.  You can email: [email protected]. edu

As CCFRP approaches its 11th sampling season, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to this program. Since 2007, we have had over 870 people volunteer their time to help us fish and collect data, and have caught and released over 82,000 fishes!  Not only are we providing the state's most extensive database on nearshore fishes with respect to MPAs, but we are also providing critical information for fisheries management (i.e. by supplying biological and ecological data for stock assessments).  None of this would be possible without the tremendous effort you put forth and we could not be more grateful for your continued support.

Lastly, please take a moment to Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram, and YouTube (@CCFRP).  We will continue to post new content and keep everyone updated as we prepare for our upcoming season!  We look forward to seeing everyone on the water for our 11th year!
