I found this launch when I was taking a walk along the Marina Green in San Francisco. At the northwest corner of the Green, there's a sign saying to contact the Harbor Master between 8:30 AM and 5 PM to launch kayaks into the boat harbor.

I walked down the ramp to the locked gate to check it out. Typical "off the dock" launch, in a protected harbor. Easy to unload & use your wheels to get down the ramp. And easy paddle access to the middle of SF Bay.

The Harbor Master's office is in a building right by the Green. One of the workers confirmed what the sign said: just show up & they let you thru the gate. He said that so far he hadn't seen anyone launching anything.

Parking is a little complicated. There are plenty of public spaces in the Green parking lot, with no time limit that I could see. But they might be full early. So further research needed on this front.

Be safe out there!

Is that sign by the pumpout pier/float to the right of the Harbor Masters office when facing north?
