Looked at past posts but can't really get a definitive view on carrying an Outback on my hullivator.  I've been carrying a Hobie Revo 13 (70#) and a Tarpon 12 (63#) for a few years all over the place.  No problems. - it's great.  I want to change the Tarpon out for an Outback.  The Outback - without drive and seat is 81#'s.  I know the Hullivator limit is 77#'s for each side.   I'm not particularly worried about the roof of the my 2500HD Chevy.  The boats ride directly over the outside roof rails of the truck.  No weight at all on the roof. Any thoughts?  Anyone carrying a couple of Hobies on Hullivators?

i carried a 89lb native slayer propel 13 in mine. no problem.  i think the weight limit is more of a liability thing.  the hullavators give you about 40lbs of lift assist regardless of the weight of the kayak.  i think an outback would be fine.

The Outback is very heavy for an old guy like me with back issues. If you have not done so yet, try lifting one to see if you would have any problem with loading/unloading. I had to use a cart on wheels to unload the Outback to.

I have a Chevy 2500, hullavator, and an outback.  I wouldn't do it any other way.  I haven't tried carrying double kayaks up top but always carry one up there.  The width of the hullavator is at its limit and has to be opened to the max.  The kayak is slightly tilted in the rack but may be where my Thule bars are placed.
