Does anyone think Hennessey or Berryessa is worth going to tomorrow? I need to catch a fish

Not sure about hennessey right now, but I'd imagine it's about the same as berryessa. I went to berryessa last weekend, marked a ton of fish holding in 20-40 feet or water off of points near shallow flats. Especially grassy flats flooded by recent rains. However, I couldn't get them to bite, and in talking to the tournament guys they couldn't either.

If I were going to go to one right now it'd be lake hennessey, because even if you don't catch a fish, it's a nice place to be/paddle.

Went to Hennessey last week, very few fish marked & no bites. If I was going to do it over would probably concentrate on deeper water towards the dam. Still nice to get otw, hope you have better luck than I did.

Stained and cold water in both lakes. The only luck I've had is with small ice fishing type jigs baited with a mealworm. Dropped strait down and fished very gently and slow near the bottom with light mono. The bass and crappie will be almost albino white in color when you get them.

I decided to hold off on the lakes and hit the Napa river. Caught one sturgeon just under slot size on lamprey/nightcrawler

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan
