This hasn't been my best weekend...

At the time it didn't hurt that bad.  Its throbbing pretty good right now though.  The split in my scalp is only about an inch long but it bled like a horror movie. We got RIGHT in at the ER.

....Sean....glad your OK.....next time...do it "savage style" and use a diaper instead of a shirt 

scalp wounds always bleed like crazy.  Looks like you could've painted half of your face blue and yell "Unite the clans!!"

What...? Are you trying to impress somebody by bleeding like a stuck pig...? I want to see that bar too... I'm sure that it has the imprint of your skull on it. Either way, I'm impressed... We may have to take Pat's advice on getting a first aid kit that includes a little stapler. That glue must've stung like a b... I've used that before and I'll take staples any day.

Nothing stung after I had the cut numbed...but the shot in the scalp did not feel good.  Looking forward to peeling the tape off of my head.  Definitely feeling better this am. 

I have one of those staplers at work that we use on fish.  Putting one in the first aid kit it a good idea.

Gee Sean I agree leave the yard work for the pros. Take 2 aspirin and go fishing.

That split in the head sucks. Glad you're ok. Now if you stop fishing we know there was some permanent damage done.

I like to wear hats, helps things slide off instead of splitting the skin open. Get better soon!

That's what moms would have said when i was a kid and hurt myself (believe me she said this a lot) while rubbing the wound.  Didn't help any, but it sure gave you that warm fuzzy feeling knowing that everything was going to be ok which only moms can give you.

When pops would do it he would add a not so gentle tap to the forehead for added healing effect
