I believe you mean Gander Mtn.  I'm pretty sure Academy isnt going out of business...yet.  It is private equity owned however and probably has a ton of debt.

I just received the 1k and 4k. Seem really solid. Picked them up when someone posted the dick's sporting goods sale. One for trout and the other for striper shore fishing. Can hardly wait to try.
