I can't wait to hit the water hard this spring.  I started fishing last October and had great success from then till January.  I started out with a 4500 penn spinfisher and a 7' Gx2 MH.  In ten days of daily fishing I broke my 4500 and uped to a 5500 because that was all that was in Stock to replace my 5500.  5500 spinfisher was hard on the arms but super smooth and to easy to stop those stripers.  So I opted for a 3500 spinfisher and that was what the doctor ordered.

I closed out the season with that setup.  Then the jolly man in the red suit brought me.  A 9' elite heavy ugly stik, elite salmon rod, 13 fishing concept c reel and that lews mach one combo.  Score!  That lews combo is really nice and casts a mile.  The salmon rod is very flexible and the 5500 fits just right on the elite 9'er.

Now I have this concept reel that hasn't found the right rod yet.  So I was looking at tackle warehouse and I found a lews speed stick lite that fit the bill and it is a nice combo.  While I was at it I saw the #8 tackle blackout rods were on sale so I bought one of those in the 7'11" variety.  Now I have a pole and no reel, you guessed it.  I had my eye on that 13 fishing A3 reel with 30lbs. Of drag.  Sweet reel.

Now just waiting for the water to clear up.....  hurry up already!

Nice setups!

Be interested to see how that 13 fishing concepts does over the long term, I looked long and hard at one, eventually went with Lew's instead, but it's been in the back of my mind ever since.

I will gladly share my review over time.  It is smooth and the finish seems pretty durable.  This reel and rod will be my daily combo so I should have some results by the end of this year.

Solid lineup.  I just got back into bass fishing last summer.  I picked up a handful of curados (200's and an x70) and a 13 Concept C.

After a couple trips the 13 was so buttery smooth that I unintentionally grabbed it first whenever I pulled up on a spot.  Perfect for crank and jerk baits, casts well and light enough to throw all day without fatigue.

Two issues I had, the exterior finish chipped and the beetlewing side plates use a sliding release to open them......and the release opened a couple times while bouncing around in a rocket launcher style holder.  Not sure if that'll be an issue on the yak but I'm not a fan of the design.  Most reels have the same style release but the 13 was the only one I had issues with.

And I couldn't resist the a3 either lol, added it to the quiver last month.

Sweet dude!  I didn't expect the A3 to be so big.  Certainly adds confidence.  I went out with my concept c yesterday to break it in some more and it is casting further and further each time out.  The lews speed stick lite with the concept is a super light combo.  Also with the strength rod I have I was able to get unsnagged easily.   Didn't lose my lure for once.
