Nice install Matt!  The one power and transducer cord shows its benefit here.  No need to drill 2 holes.

On my Revo, I just run the cables under the bow hatch and close it.

Hey Matt - is your 5th pic down how you cover the "Dum-Dum" size hole you needed to put in your boat to fit the FF cable through?

Im not sure what you are asking. I had to put two holes for the wires. One up through the back for the ducer, and one in the front for the dead unit.  I hope that helps. Let me know if you want more pics or anything.  :smt001

Thinking about a Raymarine FF/GPS  install on a Hobie Revo 13 , Ive been watching you tube installs with the lowrance ready plate but most if not all have to do some minor fabricating on the plate which actaully isnt that hard  , but also looking at options  thinking thru hull too   wondering if this is still working for you , thanks for posting

Hi Bruddahs,
I wanted to 2nd Matt's post about using a Ram Transducer Mount. My older 2014 Hobie Oasis Tandem does not the Lowrance Ready features of mounting a larger HDI transducer under the scupper hole. When I bought my Revo 13 2016 last year, I was able to get a upgrade to a Lowrance Hook5 and then bought a 2nd HDI transducer for the older 2014 Hobie.
I first tried the Scotty transducer mount and did not like how flimsy it felt, so I then decided to go with a Ram transducer mount and like how much more solid it feels.
Here's a pic of my install:

I ended up just gluing the ducer to inside of the hull as the ram mount created too much drag while paddling and collected kelp and sea junk. Might be tolerable to some, but I did not like the effect it had on the kayak while paddling. Shooting through hull is working out fine.

I used a flat S Steel bar connected to a Scotty oarlock and a Scotty mount. I can pull the bar out pretty easily. Pros are it's in the water and accurate, not much water noise because of flat bar stock. Cons are it catches eel grass and other flotsam and sometimes I have to reach over to make sure the ducer is horizontal. I currently have a Raymarine Dragonfly 4 which works great!

I replaced my failing 'bird ff last year w/ a Dragonfly. I did not want the drag and entanglement issues and the scupper holes would not work, so I did the glue-in and it works fine, I love the Dragonfly!

I've never noticed any loss by using goop to shoot directly thru hull with the Humminbird or Lowrance..   Can view my bait's clearly... though,, have not tried it using the Raymarine yet.
Now that I have the transducer scupper hole molded in, it's a great fit,, slightly proud of being flush with bottom of hull.
Love that narrow plug design !

I trimmed my brackets off the lowerance cover and put the gigantic dragonfly transducer in it. I put some goop on the top of the transducer so it won't move around when I take the cover off. It's been on my kayak for a couple of years and works great.
