Just spit ballin' here, but what about using feral cats? Seems like a win-win.  :smt002

Any fish carcause is wast regardless of the law who has ever had an fish carcass inspection
And if they did trout for the most part are fresh water but even salmon carcasses show the meat has been used
Not wasted as if you had a whole salmon out for bait
Is it just me or is there a limit on how far one needs to worry about such things

Dry dog food and a bait jar works well, is readily available, lasts forever and is not at all messy.

Run it all thru the meat grinder and let DFG try and prove what it is. You can get rid of your mother in law this way too.

Does it work for cranky neighbors too, or is this just restricted to mother-in-laws?

I don't like stuff that sucks.

ONLY if it's not seafood blend AND you need to have the can marked with your fishin id#, drivers license #, a federal permit # you can apply for in person after filling out a 20 page form in quadruplet with a DNA sample submitted, and you must be wearing a "Hello Kitty" beanie at all times while otw  :smt044

What is waste in one man's eye, (see what I did there?) is purpose in another. I do not eat truck trout, which is basically ALL trout in California for the most part. If I bring them home, they are either for the smoker, or for bait. It is not wasted, it is used, just not the way some people would use THEIRS. Too many people trying to force their view of nirvana on others. I toss the duck carcasses after I eat them. That is a waste. I should make stock out of them, but I don't always do. Where does it end? America would be AWESOMER if people minded their own business and did not worry so much that other people may be doing something that others disagree with. Drives me crazy.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.
