Cleaning up your yak

Whet do you use to retire your yaks color and remove scratches
I've tried boiled linseed oil and paint thinner,with good results on my quads as well as Peanut butter
I know ha ha sounds funny but yeah it works
Of course you can heat things up with a heart gun to smoth out minor scratches

What do you do?
