I have elk antler I will trade for handles, if someone wants to make a Damascus knife.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

How do you like the opinels?

I love them myself. No real reason to carry anything else, super sharp, and 100% nonthreatening if you take it out in front of people who don't like the idea of carrying knives.

Good to know, thanks.  Probably going to pick up a set for my groomsmen.  Any preference for ss vs carbon? These guys don't regularly carry....

I'd go with the stainless version.  I have both and carry the carbon but it takes some care to keep it nice.  The stainless is low maintenance.

It's what I carry due to the light weight, and the thin blade is perfect for cutting apples, etc.
