Los vaqueros reservoir 12-11

Trout were hot today got 2 limits strippers kicked but limits but on the small side  18-19 inchcaught about 26 to ram out 2 limits

How's the water clarity at Vaqueros?

I enjoy that reservoir in order to get my trout fix.

Did you rent a boat or shore fish ?

I always rent a boat if the wind allows for it
The lake is very clear and the water of better quality as of the fall /early winter that's when they draw there best water as it is for drinking water
Trout seamed to be everywhere just like the stripers gold was the best color on a spoon with a slow retrive we picked up a few on sliver black with red on a crockadail and a couple on small brown trout jerk baits
Stripers preferred anchovies but the bite seamed better with some eel juice
No stripers were caught on lures which was odd

Are kayaks allowed at Los vaqueros?
