Usually start out inexpensive and then Hit it Hard !

Start with
http://www.nrs.com/category/2558/men/gloves

Then hopefully end with one of these before the years out. The New Ultra High Def T.V's are  :smt007. Just a dream . A new kayak is more likely in the cards before a t.v.    :smt001

Not sure if re-furbished is worth the hassle ?

Black Friday seems to start earlier and earlier ?

Please post up any great kayak gear related deals  !!!!

BF deals on TVs generally aren't worth it.  They are usually stripped versions that are only available for BF.  I've found far better deals as Open Box @ Best Buy usually after Super Bowl time.

I got this 70" TV on 'black friday' 11/12/16, last Saturday, from SAM'S for $998.  It's got all the bells and whistles.

http://www.samsclub.com/sams/70-uhd-smart-hdr-wifi/prod20150372.ip?sprodId=prod20150372

It even has HDR, an improvement on 4K.  It has 3 HDMI ports that are 2.0a, so they support HDR blu-ray DVD's.  The HDMI ports are HDCP 2.2 compliant.  That's important because every future DVD will be using it to keep copies from being made. You literally won't be able to watch a DVD that has HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) unless your TV and your Blu-Ray player support it.   It's got WebOS 3.0 so you can web browse.  There is a tuner.  Many TV's these days can not pick up stations over the air any more because the tuners are left out of them. There is 240Hz refresh rate.

This is a 2016 model set, not last year's model discounted, but the latest and greatest.  6 months ago, this unit sold for about $1,800 and I got it for under $1,000!!  Woot!

So, I'm done Christmas shopping for the family gift.  I've been shopping for a 70" TV for a long time, but just couldn't pull the trigger til now.  A really great set and an even better price!

Oh, and DW said if I bring home even one more fishing ANYTHING, she will take it all in the divorce.  Ha!  Besides, I'm getting old.  TV will soon be all I have....
