I wear NRS Paddle Shoes over my drysuit booties. They work great.

Are you a freshwater fisherman, or headed out to the salt? Waders are a bad choice for ocean kayaking, but they work great for fishing lakes and rivers where you mostly just need to keep your ass dry...

You're not only smart, you catch fish!

When you say drysuit booties do you mean the foot pockets attached to the drysuit?  As I type this it seems thats what you must be referring to  :smt005, but I just want to be sure.  I used some Teva type sandals over my drysuit on my first outing with the drysuit, and they worked good, but walking to and from the launch I was concerned about exposing the drysuit feet to rocks / pebbles and possibly subjecting it to damage.  So, I am thinking I want some more sturdy footwear to protect the valuable ($$$) drysuit.

Thanks!!  :smt006

Yes, I wear the NRS paddle shoes over the waterproof "socks" of the drysuit.

Smartwool socks, drysuit booties/socks, then the NRS paddle shoes.

You have the right idea. You don't want to be grinding sand/pebbles between your shoes and the drysuit material. That'll wear it out quickly.
