Thinking of buying a better seat for my trident 13.  So far I'm looking at these three models...

http://www.austinkayak.com/products/2545/Gone-Fishin-Kayak-Seat.html Gone Fishin Kayak Seat $139.99

http://www.austinkayak.com/products/651/Surf-to-Summit-GTS-Expedition-High-Back-Seat.html Surf to Summit GTS Expedition High Back Seat $179.99

http://www.austinkayak.com/products/18297/Skwoosh-Big-Catch-High-Back-Seat-with-Lumbar.html Skwoosh Big Catch High Back Seat with Lumbar $129.99

Anyone have any experience with any of these that can chime in?

I used that Surf to Summit GTS for many years and loved it, and still have it for my back up/loaner yaks.

Super comfy and padded, lots of ways to adjust for lower back support etc, the pocket on back and clip on points are handy for stuff as well.

Some people told me that it would raise me up so much that it would affect my COG and make me tippy...it doesn't.

I love it.

I used the SeaAirSports (Danuu) Pacific Angler for years till all my kayaks had built in seat. Pricey, but super comfy. The GTS is a nice seat too.

That seat does look good as well.  But right now I have a 15% off code with ACK lol.  I was thinking about the gone fishing one.  I like the rod holder/tackle storage options on it.  Anyone have any experience with it?

I've got the ACK Gone Fishin' one and like it a lot. I never use the little backpack with the 3 plano boxes on mine, but it's cool that it comes with 'em. I do use the side wing plano box holders a lot though. No real complaints on it. for me. I have no rod holders on my Dolphin, so the pair on the seat are much appreciated/ used.

I have owned the gone fishing seat before.  It was a great seat with good features.  I used my 15% off when I bought it too.

I might be a little late to respond to this... I bought the Skwoosh high-back seat w/ lumbar a few years ago, and it's awesome. Great back support, and gel pad on the seat is good for hours on the water without getting stiff hips/sore bottom. Small pocket on back is good for stashing a hat or extra bottle of water, etc.

I'll cast a vote for the GTS, but I haven't tried the others... I believe mine is the GTS Elite, though, not he expedition. It's comfy, whatever it is... much more comfy than my Hobie seat...

I went with the gone fishing seat.  Seems like a decent seat.  I'm sure the others with more padding may be a little more comfortable, but this one has added functionality of carrying fishing gear that I no longer have to stow in my center hatch lol.  Seems to get really good reviews as well.
