Always wondered if this area could be yak'd?  and it looks like a "diamond in the rough". Don't want to attempt it SOLO.
Gotta put my newly attached "Q-Release" system into action.
Let's SOLDIER-UP and take advantage of the forcasted GREAT WEATHER!

Adam would you be lanching at Belden's Lndg Boat launch in Suisun City. I am considering on going would be my first Dino hunt in a yak.

Guys... let me know how it goes this Saturday.

I'm curious to know what the power boat traffic is like.  I've been warned against kayaking the Delta sloughs on the weekends.  It wasn't too bad on Wednesday, but when we came back in that afternoon, lots of other boats were also coming back in and the parking lot was full.

The problem is that the slough is narrow and very few boaters slow down as they are passing you.  Some boats actually will zoom by closer just to get a good look at us.  Most are either inconsiderate, ignorant, or just plain assholes (or all of the above).  I saw only one power boat that slowed down as they were passing us.  I waved at him to say thanks.

Good luck..... and be careful out there.

I agree with Chuck E about the PB's. Last outing at Sherman Lake CHUB and I got buzzed several times. I almost chucked a 6oz. weight at one guy he got so close but then thought of the ramifications if I missed.  :smt003 :smt012
Definitely do not need a PO'd PB coming after me.
Some get so close I just yell out, " ARE YOU KIDDING ME????!!!!"
Not like they will hear me over the roar of their mega noise engines, but it helps me vent.
There were two boats that did slow down, they were very cool. Asked how we were doing.
There were also a couple who looked back to see if they swamped us. I imagine that was their goal all along.
With the bass action picking up I am sure the traffic will be heavy.
Be careful out there.

Carry a wrist rocket and fire when ya see the whites of their eyes!!! :smt072

I don't know what would be worse, meth heads in the Delta, or tons of Geisers on San Pablo Res....

I've never felt threatened out there. I did have reservations at first, and you should be on your guard everywhere ya go, but I think if ya stay alert, you'll  be fine...Danglin
