 They are out there.
Went fishing yesterday with my daughter on my buddy's power boat out on the Sac river.
We launched from Miller around 7:30. Trolled spinners down towards Freeport. Landed one nice salmon at 11 or so .
Around 12:30 we decided to grab some lunch at the bar and grill .
After lunch we stopped by Freeport bait to grab a couple more lures.
We fished til about 4 and called it a day.
Stopped by my buddy's house, cleaned fish and put the boat away. All fine and dandy.
On the way home my daughter wanted to swing by Target and get a costume for her friends dog.
When we get to Target , I can't find my wallet anywhere. Search and search,,, Nada. Calk my buddy and he doesn't see anything. Call the bait shop , and no answer. Panic mode has set in.
Call bait shop this morning and the guy doesn't see anything, but to calk back at 1 and the guy from yesterday would be working.
At 1:01 I call back down. The guy from yesterday answers and says someone found my wallet and left a phone number. Heart starts pumping.
Call the number, and sure enough this super nice gentleman indeed has my wallet. He gives me his address and tells me to swing on by.
I pick my daughter up from school and boogie down to Elk Grove.
Get to the house, and there she is, my wallet with all of its contents. Including my fishing/drivers license, credit cards, a National park pass annnd $532 bucks in green cash.
Thanked him so much . He said he was glad to help.
 What a seriously amazing guy.
I got very lucky, I will be paying this forward.

That's awesome!  That guys gets major karma points. Glad you got it back.

Earlier this year my 14 year old son dropped his wallet on the plane in NYC.  Two days later after dealing with the airlines and TSA we get a call from Kauai, HI.  Someone found his wallet on the plane, tracked us down, and returned it and everything in it!  Same deal, couple hundred bucks cash, ID, and stuff.  Yes. There are good people out there.  Funny it ended up in Lihue, Kauai.  We love Kauai and visit often.  I guess theres a reason people there so much!

You are obviously a single parent. Of you were married, the wife would have morphed into a full on wallet sniffing hound and tracked it down. When not found....dogs hungry, dog needs to eat, dog likes meat....#chopper #sicballs #youarelucky
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Great story, good to hear stuff like this,

Several years ago in downtown Sonoma I found a guys checkbook laying on a shelf in a restroom.  I picked it up went outside and looked around, no one to be seen.

Phone number was included on the checks, but this was pre cell phone for me, so I called the guy from home the next day.  He accused me of stealing it and cussed me out over the phone and wasn't gonna calm down for anything so I hung up on him, AND mailed it to him anyway.
