Greetings all!  Hoping to get assistance finding the owner of some lost gear.  I was at the Port of Sacramento today.  As I was taking my stuff down to the water, an Asian guy with an inflatable kayak was at his car, packing up.  He was driving a four door sedan.  Anyway, when I came back up for more of my gear, he was gone, but his fishing pole was laying on the ground where has car had been.  Unfortunately, he backed over his rod and broke it.

If anyone knows who the owner might be, please let me know.  The rod is toast, but the reel is undamaged.

It was around 11:00 am, 9/27/16.

Thanks!

Leave note at penny bait and broadway bait....
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

This is exactly why I do a complete walk around before launch ( won't get left on beach) and once everything is put away before driving off, saved myself and a few fishing buddies some gear that way.

Yup! Same goes for camping, picnicking, or any other outdoor activity. ALWAYS walk the whole area before leaving to make sure you aren't leaving any gear (OR TRASH! No shell casings, no cigarette butts, no beer cans or caps!!!).

Hope the gear finds its way back to its owner. Good work doing the right thing!

Ya, too bad for the guy.  It's easy to set your rod against something, or set something on your roof, then drive off.  No response yet.  I should have thought to leave a note on the ground where he was parked.  He probably came back looking, and is mad that someone stole his rod.

Oh well......
