One word sums it up.  WINDY.  Water was pretty cold and clear and the wind just HOWLED.  Shot a couple nice black rockfish on Friday and then a 28.5 inch Ling on Saturday.  Popped some abs.  Didn't stay in the water too long either day. Family weekend.  Still fun to get wet.  Reports were vis to 20 ft on the outside.  Stopped at Van Damme on my way home.  Lots of yaks out.  Just had a little R&R on the beach and in the tidepools with my wife and daughter.  Pretty nice weekend on the N. Coast.  Hope somebody dove Sunday.  I'm sure it was nice.

Thanks for the report BigEye! It was nice fishing with you the other day at lake Mendo.

Here are a couple of webcams from Mendocino.

Main Street in Mendocino

Lansing Street in Mendocino

They can give you a heads up before you make the drive to the Fort Bragg or Mendocino coast.

CHEERS!

Shim,
We had about 6-10 inside the cove.  It was fair.  The vis was better outside but the wind just kept us in.
Mahi,
It was nice meeting you too.  Thanks for the links.  I love coming up there to dive.  I plan on spending more time up there this year.
