new guy says hello

Just saying hello to you all. Joined today and anxious to see if I remember how to fish. Been a long time.
Used to live on the North coast and did some diving and spear fishing. Gave up  my rod when I found I enjoyed being able to select what I wanted to bring to the table. Now a bit older and not inclined to work so hard  I thought I'd try some fishing again. Bought a Hobie outback a few years ago and have been peddling around the local lakes, rivers and bays with my camera.
A project on the coast brought an opportunity to spend about half my time there for the next year or more so kayak fishing for rockfish and maybe salmon sounds like a fun way to spend some time while there.

Some friends mentioned the Norcal site and recommended I check it out. From what I've read so far, it was good advice. Seems like there's a lot fun and knowledgeable  folks out there willing to share their experiences .
