Hey all! So I moved here to Monterey from my hometown in Long Island, New York back in January.  Been kayak fishing since about March.   Fishing background is all surf fishing for striped bass back home.  I work at Adventures by the Sea at breakwater cove so it is super easy for me to head out before or after work and i often do.  I mostly launch out of breakwater but will also voyage elsewhere on the peninsula (lovers point, stillwater, etc).  Anyways Im always down for meeting new people and goin on an adventure so hit me up if ya wanna fish together! Cheers fellas

Welcome!  The stripers are around, but not as good as back on the east coast.  But the salmon and halis are much better here.  Forget about the blue fins, but hey, you can fish in January.  'came from Boston.

Welcome, I am in Pacific Grove. I might try to head out for a quick fish tomorrow morning, can't decide if I am gonna target rockfish or try for a halibut.
I only fish on days that end with Y

Hey y'all just moved to the Monterey area and new to Saltwater Kayak fishing. If anyone wants to show me the ropes around the bay for the stripers/Rock fish I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Eric
