What's up, guys?

I'm gonna be camping at Jughandle Farm over Labor Day weekend, and of course I'm bringing my kayak. I havent kayaked that area, so I could use some general intel about suggested launch spots, etc..

It looks like Caspar and Fort Bragg are both just a quick drive from the campground.

If the weather behaves, I'd like to head off shore and troll for a bit then head in and target rockfish.

Where would you go?

Thanks!

Alex

Both Caspar and Noyo (N Harbor at beach) are easy launches with sand wheels.  Or you can launch at one of the ramps at the S Harbor area in Ft Bragg.

I heard the Salmon bite picked up in Ft Bragg but have no Intel on depth right now.  If I hear any details on Salmon I will let you know.

I noticed that NOAA doesn't seem to offer "point and click" forecasts for this area.

Who seems to give the most accurate weather forecasts for the Fort Bragg area?

Thanks!

Hi Alex I'll most likely be camping at Albion this weekend. I usually use: http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Casper-Creek/forecasts/latest/six_day

So yeah, noticed this a few years ago and emailed the Eureka office, they said they were working on it and sent me a substitute link,

Try this, takes some deciphering but looks like it works. Point and click.
