SF Zoo Pics

i did + an Emu wit'a fro!     and a big "ancient" fish sculpture!

I picked up a new 70-300mm lens for my camera the day before we went. I like the close-ups. The hippo pic that just randomly became the thumbnail for the video is one of my favorites. I also really like the head on pic of the ostrich and the zebra scratching his butt on the rock.

And I f***ing hate how I put a lot of effort into framing my wildlife pictures and then either Windows Moviemaker or Youtube messes the framing all up. (Quite a bit more cropped, or "zoomed in" than the original pictures.)

We went to the SF Zoo recently as well. Forgot how much I liked that place as a kid.

I go once or twice a year. I'd like to get back there by myself soon so I can spend more time taking pics. I got all of these while towing two kids who pretty much just wanted to get back to the playground. 

I've never been to the Oakland Zoo. Maybe we'll go there next time.
