I import photos from my iPhone to iPhoto on my Mac.  When i post them on NCKA they appear sideways.  Anyone know how to fix that?

Not sure this is same thing or not, but when I send photos from my S5 depending on how I held the phone to take the shot they appear on my PC side ways. I need to use the rotation button when I open picture, (If its sideways) to right it, when I move to next picture the PC saves it after the rotation.  After that they post normal.

While it is still on the iPhone try choosing edit and choose the crop button. It looks like two angles placed together to form a funny looking square. Then choose the square with the curved arrow. That will rotate it. If the photo is sideways fix and save it. If it looks right on the phone change it, save it, then go back and fix it and save again. That will add the info that causes the photo to display correctly. You might be able to do the same procedure in iPhoto.

iPhone photos have orientation information in the EXIF data.  Many software developers (including Microsoft and this site) don't look at the EXIF info.

When I hit this problem, I don't see it on the mac, but do see it when I post.  To solve it, I rotate right, then left again, back to where it looked like originally, then resave.  This seems to clear the EXIF data and save the image in the correct orientation.

Thank you. I'll try it

A surprising solution but I'll give it a try.  Thanks

Rotating and changing it back worked.
