Looking to catch my first keeper of the year. I don't care what kind. Of keeper but i need a keeper. I've skunked out most of the times out in the water. On kayak or off shore. Never had his much bad luck fishing. But I guess after 2-3 years of not fishing a lot has changed. But I'm ready to land that one keeper that will have me telling the story to everyone over and over again. Is anyone down to help me accomplish this mission? I'm right off the Richmond /San Rafael bridge. And got a TAMARAK and my paddles ready to row. Willing to drive an hour either way  since my vehicle is not to good on long runs for now.  If anyone willing to help a fellow member I would really appreciated.
May not always catch a big fish off the kayak. But will always catch an adventure.

Dude, delta lmb or panfish can't miss
Also the stripers are still swimming thru the area go out when the tide is moving
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I heard the salmon run right but those tankers.  Watch the tide and wind and go get some.  I'm in Novato and am thinking about Benicia for a salmon anyday now :smt006

I usually try for Fall stripers in our neck of the woods, brother islands, red rock, Richmond/SR bridge area when weather tide and "I have time" come together. Perhaps a Richmond fish and chill might be in order this year.

I think there's folks out there that know a lot more than me, especially fishing out of kayaks but...

I was out in a friends boat in July off Paradise Cay and we each caught a nice halibut. Other boats out there were catching fish as well. I've been trying to figure out how to get back there in a kayak. We launched the boat out of San Rafael - and that's too far to paddle. Plus it got kind of crappy heading back in.  What about Corde Madera Marsh - can a kayak launch there?  I'd love to find a way back there in the kayak when I get back to fishing in October.  PS... My buddy with the boat tells me he's caught salmon out there when they're running. Good luck.

Listen here white sea bass slayer.........I fished paradise alot this summer and I could show you two different spots to launch that are good for paradise.  One is the paradise cay boat marina.  The other is paradise park(fee). Still workin' Tomales but Paradise cay also yields salmon on the run.

I'm fillin my adult diaper right now.  That's exciting.   I'm stuck until October but let's do this. Theoretically... There ought to be some Salmon and stripers out there then... Right?  In the boat we picked up live shiners from the little bait shop in San Rafael instead of making the long run to SF for live bait.  What do you do (if you don't mind me asking?).

I wear adult diapers when I'm kayaking so I know how you feel. :smt005  Until J&P bait closes in SF, I pick up a scoop of anchovies and haul them to the launch in my garbage can livewell and transfer them to my kayak livewell.  You can pick up shiners if you like, hard to keep alive, and we can always try to catch bait, best way, but not as easy to catch bait at paradise as it is in tomales.  I am yet to catch Hali or salmon from paradise.  I want a keeper striper, but have caught rays and small sharks.  We will figure it out.  :smt006
