New member - I'm hooked!!

I’m a new member and wanted to introduce myself. 

I’m not new to fishing (though now few and far between), but a kayak angler I am not. In fact, it was pure happenstance that a confluence of events led me to Seattle and in touch with kayak fishing aficionado, Mr. Brad Hole of Kayak Fishing Washington, that’s now got me hooked!! He recommended that I checkout this site, so here I am....

I’m a resident of San Francisco and have been waiting for that elusive moment when free time meets putting down the golf clubs (friends not me) and making a trip to Alaska. However, I’m learning very quickly that a long trek up north is not necessary to do some quality fishing, locally. Thank you Bushy for all the info and I look forward to hitting the waters with you shortly. Additionally, and naturally, I’m in the market for a kayak and I suppose a car rack, so any help pointing this novice in the right direction would be appreciated (one can only Google so much, esp. on a work day  ) Anyway, looking forward to learning, sharing, joining groups/event, and most of all …  adventure!

It might be worth calling around to kayak rental facilities in Santa Cruz, Monterey, half moon bay, etc.. When they upgrade their fleet of kayaks, you might be able to score a good deal on a used one.

Also, keep an eye on the Classifieds section of this site (not sure you can access it until you have 10 posts?).
