This is a super late report, but it is a two part report. Hey better late then never right.  :smt002

Summary
Last week, i did a three day trip with Tim (Krusty) to shelter cove and Humboldt bay. You guys know the hot bite is happening up there. I am grateful for the guys up north for sharing their information getting us in on the bite. It was on of my most memorable trip to date, mainly because of all the good friends i was able to catch up north. (Eric, Brandi, Cameron, Kiet, and everyone else i met) I haven't seen action that hot for salmon in a few years. All the fish were good size ones 15-20 lb class.

Arrived at shelter on Friday 8/5/2016 after a long drive all night. Tim and I hit the flat waters of the cove at 7 a.m.
The bait was busting along the coast line and the fish were marauding in close. The bite was steady all morning and I got hammered on some pretty large fish. There were some large fish roaming around, slamming my rod and coming off -- It gets the heart pumping.

I landed a 20lber and lost another 20lber at the boat. We drifted into the harbor and I scratched up a small legal Cali Hali. The pacific halibut fishing was going off around "the hat" area with commercials radioing in good action. I couldn't have asked for a better start...well maybe if i got the second 20lber, but now i'm just getting greedy.

Part II get's crazier. (stay tuned)
