Things have been slow for me on the usual haunts, so today I headed to the north end.
After a few days of warm weather, the lake finally started to give off that prespawn vibe.
Took victims with green crawjig pattterns and a few on the purple senko. Nothing on the rip or swimbait. All released unharmed.
Obviously im still struggling with the camera mount project.  work in progress.

Nice haul H2Ospider. I will be up there to fish and watch the BassMaster Elite next month. Clear lake is best lake on the west coast in my book. I cant wait to hit Rodman I have done real good back there. Hope to see you on the water.

Nice chunks! Some swear by Oroville, but I don't see the size there.

Seemed liked yesterday was just the prespawn teaser.  Today the weather moved in and the bass moved out.
Was hoping for the repeat performance today but got a dead bite and times of wind and rain. Was still a great day on the water.  Word spreads quickly when C-lake turns on and the lake got assaulted.  Word on the streeet is that they had alot of success with the ripbait yesterday but slow today except 1 boasting 9.6 with a carolina rigged worm.

Adam,
I had perma-grin for quite awhile after "the beast", it was a true berzerker.
My bigger fish are coming form this jig combo, on the fall and on a slow retreive.
I would keep giving the big jigs a chance, but I have to confess its hard not to stay with the Senko for the numbers.

 Adam,
I like to use a jig that puts the creature at a aggressive angle when im just letting it sit.
I try to use plastics that are also good for fishing texas or carolina, then I can recycle them to the jig box.
In the late 80s I spent alot of time kayaking the lower San Joaquin, just north of fresno.
It had  a incredible crawdad population, both red, green, and the occasional blue.
Spent many hours gliding over them and it never crossed my mind, at the time, that I would ever be trying so hard to imitate them.
