Ocean Newbie, Where should i go for my first time?

Where should I go for my first time in the ocean? I still need a few pieces of gear and I need to practice re-entry before I do. I am fairly skilled in the water. I used to surf back in my younger days. I just want an easy place to launch and get back in.
