Well I imagine that rules me out joining you guys on your trip to Shasta then since I am a little short of testosterone, and I am SCARED of bears.

Sounds like you might be inclined Abking to leave scraps of fish out intentionally, just to attract bears.  :smt005

Now that I think about it, the last time I went off on a paddling trip with a group of guys (and I was the only girl), I just remembered how wicked you guys can get.

There were six of us all coming back from the Colorado River driving across the desert.  I had to relieve my bladder, so I told the guys to pull over, and to turn around, since there wasn't a cactus to squat down behind.  Right as I pulled my dress up and undies down, I heard something moving in the bushes, and looked over and saw a rattlesnake. :smt013

Naturally I did the thing you should never do - I jumped up, turned around in a half undressed state and was about to run back to the truck, when low and behold, I spied all five of the guys standing on top of the truck clapping, and laughing, just as caravan of semi trucks goes by, and beeps their horn. :smt005  The desert suddenly seemed like a circus and I was the main attraction!

It turns out, they found a dead rattler on the road and tossed it into the bushes to scare me.  Those naughty boys.  They were really pushing their luck considering I was their boss.

I held my bladder for 75 miles until we reached the next gas station.
