Hi, I am a new member to the forum from San Jose. I just got into kayaking, but i have been fishing my whole life. I can't wait to get out on the water. I just bought a Tarpon 130X and haven't had a chance to take it out yet.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate all of the warm welcomes. I am planning on a few trips to Calero Res and Anderson Res to get familiar with it.

Finally got the new boat out for the maiden voyage. I went to Lexington Res about 11:00am. It was nice and flat until about 3:00pm, then the wind picked up. I met a guy that has a house on the res, he said the wind yesterday was about as bad as it gets there. I had a good workout paddling head on into the wind from the south end all the way back to the launch ramp. I am feeling it today. The boat worked great. Tested out the new fish finder as well. No luck fishing, but had a great time.
