There have been humpbacks hanging around the south jetty at HMB for a few days now.  They have been popping their entire heads out of the water (maybe bubbling?)  I know its not a 'fishing' report, but its pretty amazing to see.   Also, tons of bait moving around close to the jetty.

There was a small pod of humpbacks inside SF Bay as well.  The news had some good photos of them gobbling up bait fish.

Do you think it is worth trolling for salmon in HMB?
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

I saw the same thing last Saturday! Tons of birds and whales gobbling up bait fish. There has to be salmon out there. Haven't had the chance to go and see.
