Question: Is it legal to shoot my rifle across open water to the other side? Say I am on one side of a lake and see a legal deer on the other side (let’s assume it’s 200 yards, not a good long range shot). Can I shoot across the lake or pond or river? (Larry E.)

Answer: It is never advisable to shoot over water due to the potential for a ricochet. But, it is legal to shoot the deer as long as both you and the deer are on property where it is legal to hunt and you have permission to hunt the area.

let's examine this law governing hunting. if the deer was standing in 6 inches of water at the shore and the lake was owned by the public but governed by BLM and hunting is permitted on land and waterways. would that said Hunter be permitted to harvest that said animal even though is 5 feet away from private property

If an animal is on public land, or land you have permission on. Shoot. The law is on your side. If the animal crosses into restricted area, you can get the Sheriff or warden to assist if the land owner is unavailable, or denies access.

Did said legs on dry land come off of the ground the instant the bullet came flying out of the gun, and is it even possible for say 15% of a deer to be on (in contact with) the private property as I'm sure even all 4 hooves aren't 15% and the air isn't private property. And the 1000% more important question is what would Hillary "do" or should I reiterate say?

That's easy---she'd lie.
