Lake Mendocino

Going to be out there for the next few days. Any advice on striper locations, bass locations, and whether trout can be caught from shore would be greatly appreciated. We'll have yaks for the adults, but I'd like to set the kiddos up from shore for anything that'll bite. Thanks!

Not much in the way of trout action, but shore fishing for LM, SM and crappie is good.  Finding the stripers is the million dollar question.  I would suggest trolling the south end of the dam by the pump tower with deep crankbaits.  The topwater bite for LM and SM has been pretty good these days in the evening.  Throw Spooks and poppers.  Have an awesome time!
