Looking for "SpineBoard"

Anyone know where can I get my hand on spineboard locally?

Check Amazon.  That's going to make a great HAKA!  Or you can strap injured mermaids to them so you can take them to safety.

Be careful taking people out on that thing on days with bad current and wind.  TACKing upwind with someone on your HAKA can make thing difficult because they will need to keep switching sides.  If they're on the wrong side, you risk capsizing

No worry about that. I am making a pole to steer so I can hike out too.

+1 (on a general warning; though I personally think jibing is more dangerous). I had almost capsized even while sailing alone, while sitting on tramp. Even without HAKA With passenger it will require more coordination.

I bought mine off e-bay and it is great - you sit much higher, and easier to move around. Also, see my other post on extension pole.

I looked at spine boards but the cost and shipping was insane. I built a platform out of 1inch material from Lows. Rock solid and i cost me about $10.

Chet you can find used spine boards in the $50-$60 range but the shipping will be through the roof.
