Donner and Stampede next week, any thoughts?

Heading out on my new to me Hobie PA.  Used to fish these lakes in my boat many years ago.

Thinking of Donner early before the masses get out and Stampede the next day.

Maks, trout and kokes....any tips or ideas?

Any reports?

I'll be camping out at Lake Side Truckee next weekend with my dad. Was planning to bring the YAK, but not sure how much I'll get in since my dad refuses to fish unless he is in his ranger. Let me know when or where you are gonna be and maybe I can join yea. I don't any of those lakes too well though. I mainly know where to fish on lake Prosser from the shore, so this is my first on the water up there.

fish junkie did good trolling with his kayak at stampede last Saturday. Limited on big kokanee. He was running downriggers. He gives really good reports on FB Sac kayak page.
